Just got this waffle maker and tried it for the firt time tonight. It works fine. I followed an additional reviewers advice and sprayed canola oil on the plates prior to use, my waffles came out of the plates with ease. It takes some finding adjusted to the flipping motion and how you can operate and open the maker but when you have got all that down it's quite straightforward. If I had been to complain about the machiine at all I would say that the highest setting could possibly be hotter due to the fact my waffles did brown but didn't come out super crispy.
